PLANTS by Susan Carter Hall Oil on gesssoed paper; 24 x 30 // Beautifully finished in a white frame * Valued at $2,200 "There is a plant in my house that I thought was good as gone. A friend thought otherwise and suggested we place this plant outside for a little sunlight. Lo and behold, a month or two later, little green sprouts began to emerge. The plant is now thriving. The ability to come together and help others to thrive is what community means to me. The shadows and light in this painting also remind us that where there is darkness, there is light." Susan Carter Hall

ANCIENT BOARD GAMES by Steve Hickock Acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas; 24 x 24 * Valued at $3,000 "Some of my creations are consciously selected themes. At other times they are a mystery, only revealed as the paintings are complete. In all, they represent the journey of life with its sharp turns and labyrinthine passages. I love strong lines, convincing textures, powerful shapes and contrast." - Steve Hickock

LILLEHAMMER by Catherine Dickson Acrylic on canvas; 36 x 48 * Valued at $3,360 "My work is about the community of our relatives past and present as if we were standing in a place envisioning them all together. This painting is based on my genealogy exploration using images of actual family members placed over the landscape of my family origin. This house from the 1700s in Lillehammer, Norway was the childhood home of a famous relative known as a Seer whose epileptic seizures were thought to be visionary. In the painting descendants from different generations visit his house and a new generation of children float across the attic rooms." - Catherine Dickson
